Training, upgrades and South West Squad.

Hello. This is my blog for the last month. I’m working hard, improving and pushing on. I have lots of work to do to get ready for my comps soon after Christmas but I’m going to believe I can get my skills in time.

Mon – Sun beginning of November.

It was a normal week of 25 hrs training! There were a few highs and lows. Gemma coached us on Sat as Kelly was at a comp.

Mon 12th and Tues 13th Nov. As it’s the end of the comp season Kelly let us have Monday and Tuesday off!!! Nice! I think she is tired too!

Weds 14th November 4-8pm Back to it! It’s felt like a long time off. It’s been lovely! But it’s only been 3 days 😂 It’s good to be back in the gym. I did my new beam mount again, a forward walkover onto the beam.

Thurs. Day off

Fri 9.30am – 4.30pm I was a bit shocked. My eyes were wide open and not blinking when Kelly said we would be practicing whips into double backs (2 somis in air) on trampoline to mats. 😱 But I have to learn to do it.

Hooray! I am so happy that I did this today. My one and half twist punch front.

 

Sat 12-5pm A good session. I got my free walkover back on the high beam ☺ 3 times.

I found out that I’ve been selected to be in the South West Squad for 2019. I’m really pleased! This year it’s been good to be in the South West Squad so I’m sure 2019 will be too.

Sun. Day off

Mon 19 Nov 4-8pm. I did one double tuck to land on two mats in the pit. I am moving in the right direction. It was really hard conditioning today 🤯

Tues 4-8.30pm. I did my giant fulls on bars over pit again. My thighs were killing me walking out of gym tonight. Ouch!

I shall stay positive and think about all the things that went right. That will help me succeed. Also teamwork makes the dream work. ☺

Weds 4-8pm It was such hard conditioning tonight. Then I had to do range after! I did do 7 giant fulls on bars tonight. ☺

Thursday I didn’t feel well at school today. I was shivering and had a really sore throat after school and I came home and went to bed. 😔

Friday. I was too ill for gym today. I’ve got a cold and temperature.

Sat. I am still not well. No gym training again 😔

Sun day off, another day to get myself better.

Mon 26th Nov. 4-8pm I survived.

Tues 27th Nov 4-8.30pm It was good tonight.

Weds 4-8pm I wasn’t feeling all that well today, my cold is back, but I knew I had to battle through and train. It was difficult. I felt better after a few hours, and I am proud of myself that I made it to the end. 💪

Thurs day off

Friday 30 Nov 9.30am – 4.30pm. A friend of ours, Jim Wileman who is a professional photographer, took photos and filmed me training all day today. One of his photos is on this blog ☺ I like them. I’ll post more soon! 😉 He is making a short film for me soon too. Thank you!

It was a really good day! I got lots done today with Kelly. I’m moving a step closer.

I did giant full over pit into blind forward top giant. ☺

Sunday. No day off for me! South West Squad training at The Academy near Bristol. Dad drove Lannah and me, we had to leave at 7.30am.

Training was 10am – 4pm.

I did my stalder on wood to handstand.

The dance we learnt at the end was really fun.

We got home at 6.30pm, so it was a long day.

I did 30hrs and half of gym training this week 😲

Mon 3 Dec (my Dad’s birthday! ) 4-8pm. It was good today again but I had to do 5 ranges instead of 3, all because my friends said I was supposed to do 5! 🤪

On the track with mats in the pit on higher mats, but almost at correct height, I did my double back, whoo hoo. ☺ I am happy with this.
